"I write to discover what I know."
— Flannery O'Connor
Mike helps students find and tell unique stories about their lives that stand out from the piles (and piles and piles) of personal essays that overwhelm admissions counselors and make them want to take long naps. Mike takes the time with his students to draw out the best possible story for whatever tough essay question comes their way. Then he helps them shape and hone the essay until it soars off the page.
